Pipe. Mini Film
After five years away from competitive surfing, Ahmee Keoka stands at the edge of the ocean wondering if she still belongs.
Once a promising young surfer, Ahmee chose college over competition and returned to surfing only as a hobby. Now, with a rookie-season spot on the line, she must face the waves, her younger brother Tucker, and the doubts that have followed her back to the water.
Her first heat doesn't go as planned. After wiping out on her opening wave, Ahmee finds herself in third place and running out of time. But when a powerful wave opens up, she takes the opportunity and delivers the performance that moves her into second.
The competition only gets harder from there. With Tucker standing between her and a rookie-season spot, Ahmee must confront the belief that five years away has cost her the talent she once had. Ultimately, she realizes that she isn't the same surfer she was before—she's grown.
As she drops into her final wave, Ahmee stops trying to prove that she hasn't changed and starts trusting the surfer she's become. In the end, she earns her place in the rookie season, proving that time away didn't take her talent—it gave her a new perspective on why she surfs in the first place.
